Thank you sir, I wish I understood Bryan's source for the May 17, 1864 organization of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Consolidated Regiments. I think I have the dates as some time in September 1864. That still seems to leave these regiments in limbo from July 1863 until May 1864. I seem to remember some problems with their exchanges.
