On the Edward GErdes site for the 3rd Arkansas Infantry, two soldiers of Company F, the Hot Springs County unit, Andrew Hefley and Hugh Taylor Tillery are listed as killed in action 2 July 1863....HOWEVER on their CSR's from FOLD3, Hefley shows up being returned to duty from Chimborazo in late July 63 and on Tillery the CSR from 30 June thru August, dated the 31st shows him as present. I don't know who provided the rosters for 3rd ARk Inf, perhaps Bryan H. might know, but does anyone out there have any info and its source that shows these two soldiers actually being killed?
