The headstones that were originally erected give only the name of the man, and usually his state. In a few instances those have been replaced by the standard VA-issued markers, which give a little more information as is customary. I have not checked with the Sexton's records to see if there is anything else. I don't live in Augusta, but was there on a visit and had a hour or so to myself, and copied down the headstone information.

There are at least two SCV camps in Augusta, and one across the river in North Augusta, and seeveral UDC chapters in the area as well. Perhaps one of them might have something.
