Hey Bob,

Yes we know that the HARVELL RAYBURN possibly the HOWELL ADAM RAYBURN buried in Coryell Co.,Tx is obviously NOT "Doc." But my question was who is he and is he related to Doc. Perhaps a namesake Uncle. It would be very unusual for two people to have the same unusual name and not be related.

On a similar note,we also know that Doc's father HODGE (Born North Carolina) died sometime between 1850 and 1860 but who is this HODGE RAYBURN on the 1860 Leon Co.,Tx census (Born North Carolina) and buried in the Confederate section of the Cleburne,Texas Memorial cemetery.1827-1897 served Captain Whaley's Co.,Texas Infantry.

And,on a further similar note, who is this WILLIAM B.RAYBURN the same age as another of DOCS brothers buried at the Granbury,Texas Cemetery. 1839-1879.Private Co.H,2nd.Texas Cavalry Regiment.

DOC'S family line is a difficult one to trace..North Carolina 1802..Georgia 1832-1837..Tennessee 1839-1842..Alabama 1843..and then Texas 1849.
