Terry and all, Col. Asa Stokeley Morgan was born 11-13-1825 near Macon, GA, and died in Camden, AR 2-25-1909. There are obits of him in the AR Gazette 2-26-1909 and the (Nashville) Christian Observor 6-9-1909, in addition to the mentioned Morgan letters at the AR History Commission. Photos of him are in CWTI Oct. 2000 issue, and CV 13:354, 18:88. He's buried in Mt. Holly Cemetery, Union Co., AR.
