I do not know of any mill in that area named Whitmore's. THere were very few mills in Saline County at that time and that area was all Saline Co. Whittens was the big one down there below. THere was one other steam mill up other side of Benton. All others were the basic water or horse operated mill. I would have to look and see if anyone had a mill on Hurricane Creek to give you an absolute answer, but I have no knowledge from all my Saline Co research that mentions any mill involved in the Jenkins Ferry activities other than Whittens.
