It was Whitten's Mill operated by DAvid Whitten. Blown up by Carr's cav when Elliot's cav skeered them. It was not Whitmore's Mill as stated incorrectly by the yankees. Also, it was not Toxie Creek down by the battlefield as stated by some of the yanks either. They couldn't understand Arkaneese speak evidently.
