The reference made to Col. Isaac Harrison's 3rd Louisiana Cavalry can be found in the Guide to Louisiana Confederate Military Units 1861-65 by Arthur W. Bergeron. It states that Harrison's Cavalry accompanied the infantry of the Army of the West into southern Arkansas in Sept. and Oct. of 1864. Returned to the Monroe area in Dec. So, this in fact is why Louisiana Cavalry is in Monticello!
