Hello. William Preston Jackson was 58 in 1880 and had been in Independence County
prior to entering Lonoke County.
W. P. Jackson would have been born around about 1822.
He shows up in the census with his 30 year old wife Margaret and their children.
I am helping a friend and my question is, did this man have service in the Civil War
or perhaps a state militia group? If I have it correct, this was her grandfather.
I have already checked the Gerdes site, so I may have overlooked him, but I did not
find the man. Could he have been out of state?
I am working strictly with second hand information.
