Yes, thanks. I'm familiar with this flag of the 3rd Confederate Regiment, myself having found in June 2002 and been the former "caretaker" of the 1864 Hardee (Type I) regimental battle flag for the 32nd & 45th Miss. (Consolidated) that is the same pattern as the 3rd Conf. That is one of the reasons I've been doing some research on these 1864 issued Hardee flags and the regiments that carried them. My flag was lost on the evening of 30 Nov 1864 when Corporal Joseph T. "Joel/Joe" McBride planted it on top of the Union breastworks at the Battle of Franklin near Carter's cotton gin, and there gave up his life. This probably occurred during the second wave of onslaught (slaughter) by the Confederates.
