Is'nt the designation of these regiments (19/24/Hardys) interchageable? My ancestor is listed on the muster rolls of the 24th but in his pension records he always refered to himself as a member of the 19th. I know you have sorted this out for me before ( and thanx again) but could this somehow account for the confusion in the accounting of the surrender of these men?
