My Dad worked for the railroad. I was born unexpectedly 8 years after my other brothers and sisters. Since Mom and Dad weren't planning on other children at their stage of life, I was nicknamed "Caboose". However, plans do not always work out and my youngest sister was born four years after me. Since, I was supposed to be the "Caboose" of the family, my father was at a loss as to what part of the train she was? A friends finally suggested that a railroad also had "Handcars" that maintained the tracks. So that became her "Nickname".
