See http://www.confederateflags.org/ Go to the subsection "Flags of the CS Army" and then click on "Battle Flags of the Army of Mississppi/Army of Tennessee 1861-1863". These guys are about as professional as you can get in the study of Confederate flags.

Having absorbed the information there, I would post a query on the Civil War Message Board at http://history-sites.com/mb/cw/cwflags/ and specifically ask for input from Greg Biggs. Greg is a contributor to the "Flags of the Confederacy" website above and can help you decide on what image would be most appropriate.
