Miles, I know that the 6th was on the far right wing of the attack at Seven Pines and that losses were severe. This unit suffered terrible losses where ever they were engaged especially at Sharpsburg. I appreciate your info. Surely wish there was more but I know records were lost. Still, I am proud of his service in such a distinguished regiment. His wife married their overseer later in the war. Wish my grandmother were here to tell me more. Thank you.
