I have been told that this service is much faster than that provided by the National Archives.
There exists no CW official service records as we know them today. What is available are termed Compiled Service Records, which in the main, consist of abstracts taken of individuals from his companies bi-monthly musters held for pay purposes. In Davids case, they consist of 17 cards which are difficult to read on-line.
