Richard Harris Co.I 15th Alabama Infantry

In his book, "Black Confederates In The U.S. Civil War," Author Ricardo Rodriguez says this man was a 15 year-old "Colored" Orderly for the 15th Alabama and that he was "born in England." I can found nothing in his CMSR to verify that. I did find two Black men in the 1870 census of Alabama with this name and born about the same time. One born in Alabama, the other in Kentucky. I believe Colonel Oates wrote about the regiment and his service following the war ? Did he happen to mention this young man ? Any help would be appreciated.
