Re: ConfederatesAlabamians buried at ANC

Hello Greg, Both of these patriots are in dire need of information at Arlington National Cemetery. Using google as a search engine enter "Confederates buried at Arlington National Cemetery" I believe it's the 3rd site down on the list. ArlingtonCemetery.net/csa.htm

You will see their tombstone there and they only list their names and state on the tombstones at ANC. The site is asking for additional information of these soldiers. You might want to consider submitting your information to them so these soldiers can be remembered for who they were and take full credit for your work. You might also want to contact the genealogy room at the Tallapoosa county library and again pass on your valuable information.

Unfortunately I'm more busy than a long tailed cat in a small room of rocking chairs doing work on Camp Chase and am continually being side-tracked. I am not sure if the Alabama Department of History and Archives has this information as I have not looked. If they don't you may want to pass your research over to them also with these valiant soldiers.

In my haste to list these Alabama soldiers at ANC I've noticed I have overlooked a soldier named D. L. Carroll of Company D of the 5th Alabama Infantry.

There are also other at the ANC just listed as Confederate soldiers. Some may be Alabama soldiers?

Wishing you and others continued success in telling the stories of these honored men from the great State of Alabama.
