ADAH notes an H H McSwain in Co. E 5th Alabama Cavalry. The authority for the notation is a diary of Capt. B M Collier. The same diary is apparently the only authority for the service of Capt. Collier in the same unit. He may be the same B M Collier or Ben M Collier who served in Fennel's Morgan Raiders, a Home Guard unit.
