Re: O. C. Taylor, Co. I, 14th Alabama Volunteers

Unfortunately the Company I muster rolls for the period November 1863 through August, 1864 are missing which may have provided the clue to his court martial.

O. C. Taylor, Private, Company I, 14th Regiment Alabama Infantry, enlisted July 29, 1861 at Lineville, Talladega County, Ala. by J. T. Bill for the war, wounded in an engagement around Richmond, Va. June 26 to July 1, 1862*, absent on wounded furlough at the end of year 1862, remaining so through April, 1863, recorded absent sick on furlough at the May/June, 1863 muster, recorded present at the Sept/Oct, 1863 muster, receipted for issues of clothing June 30 & July, 1864, shot by sentence of Court Martial September 22, 1864

* May have been Gaines’ Mill June 27 or Frazier’s Farm June 30
