His record is not extensive. It only covers his capture, imprisonment and parole on 3 cards. First card is copied from a Roll of Prisoners of War and indicates he was in Co. C, and that he was captured in Escambia on March 25, 1865. Second card indicates he was in Co. D, and that he was received at Ship Island, Mississippi, April 4, 1865. Third card shows him being transferred from Ship Island to Vicksburg on April 1, 1865. A note at the bottom of the card has the following statement:
Headquarters Exchange of Prisoners, Camp Townsend, May 6th, 1865. Received the prisoners, on parole, described upon this roll. H. A. M. Henderson, Lt. Col & Asst Com'r Exchange, C.S.A.
