There may have been many burial sites following the Battle of Atlanta. However, over 2,000 Confederate unknowns were buried at Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta just to the north of the major battle field. Oakland is also the oldest cemetery in Atlanta and dates to 1850. My GG grandfather was in Co A 34th.... he was Robert Pinckney Lett
