The only thing I could find on the company is a card that states "Capt. Chas A. Herts' Co. Mobile, Ala" Payroll covering March 26 - April 19, 1862. The only card in Capt. Herts' CMSR states that his name appears on the same payroll record. There is a note at the bottom of the card that states the company appears to be company of Home Guard or Local Defence (sic) at Mobile, Ala.
