Hello, I am looking for my great great uncle who was George W.Doss of Co. A. 11th Alabama Infantry. I have his records from the Washington archives and it states that he enlisted in June 1861 and that he was wounded on June 30, 1862. There is no other record after that and I cant find him after the war. I heard that sometimes the folks at the archives dont always send you all the records by mistake. Could it be that I did not get all his record. Does anyone in Alabama have access to any of these records to check for me or perhaps you know of some other sources. I suppose that he may of died from his wound. Please help if you can.Thanks.
