Interesting question, couldn't not find much in the Alabama reference books that I have. However, there is a map of rr's
showing those completed by 1850, by 1861 and proposed.
The Selma to Montgomery has a caption as a proposed line by Western of Alabama, which is probably the name of the rr co.
May be a lead for you, altho couldn't find them in the above books.
