On that enrollment date, Co. H was the Warrior Guard of Tuscaloosa Co. The company from Pickens Co. was Co. C. When Co. H's one year term of enlistment expired, in December 1861, most of the company joined Fowler's Battery in Tuscaloosa. Co. C either became New Co. H, or Co. C at least provided the core of New Co. H.
