In Corpl. J.M. Davis's information that I first gave, I inadvertantly wrote that he was in the 11th Alabama Inf. That is incorrect!

He was in the 5th Ala. Infantry., Co. H or New Co. H.

Sorry for the confusion.

James Davis was indeed the Private in Co. H of the 11th Ala. Inf.
