Yes. That's them! If I had only looked at my own writings on this unit, I would have been able to answer my own question! Here is what I have:

McCaa’s company of men first joined Pope Walker Troopers, which became the 2nd (Pope Walkers) Battalion Mississippi Cavalry. McCaa’s Company was Company B of this Battalion. The battalion was at Columbus, Miss. in December 1861, and was ordered to report at Bowling Green, Ky. By January 1862 the battalion was at Paris, Tenn.

After the fall of Ft. Donelson, the battalion (under Major Baskerville) consisted of 130 men, and was ordered to Purdy’s Landing on the Tennessee River. It was a part of Gen. Chalmer’s Brigade. Before the Battle of Shiloh (April 1862), the battalion was merged with Brewer’s Miss. Battalion to form the Alabama and Mississippi Battalion.
