I have heard that my g-grandfather William A.J. Vines died at one of the two river forts in Clarke Co. in November 1862 and his body was not returned home in Baldwin Co. for burial. He was with the 21st Al Inf, Co. F. Does anyone have information about him or his death or his burial, or could tell me where to look for this information? Anything will be helpful and appreciated.
