According to the source [I'll have to look back through my notes to find what the source was], they did wear them until Jan. 1865, and they remained blue [more on this below]. Now, I'm sure that some were replaced during that time, by necessity, but as a general whole, the company wore them throughout that period of time, again, according to the source.

Remember that the blue dyes used by the Union were superior dyes, thus retaining the color longer. And, also be careful not to make the comparison of color fastness of the blue coats issued to the Confederate POWs during mid-war to the regular issue Union clothing. Those issued to the POWs were intentionally made of poor quality materials, so that they could not be used by the exchanged Confederates as suitable clothing.
