John Rufus Eddins, Company H of the 17th AL Regiment Infantry attended this reunion. I inherited a small heart shaped medallion that had some information on it relating to the reunion as well as the usual Confederate symbolism.

I have often wondered about the event and suppose that there were many AL veterans there as Texas was a natural migration area for AL natives especially in the 1870s/1880s.

I also would be very excited to see any photos and or descriptions of the event. I don't live in Dallas but maybe someone can help us out.
