By all means:

Company “A” of Coffee County “Coffee County Blues”
Company “B” of Dale County “Dale County Grays”
Company “C” of Butler County “Butler County Light Infantry”
Company “D” of Butler County “Butler County Volunteers”
Company “E” of Montgomery County
Company “F” of Covington and Coffee Counties “Covington & Coffee Grays”
Company “G” of Dale County “Daleville Blues”
Company “H” of Butler County “Greenville Guards”
Company “I” of Dale County “Zollicofer Avengers”
Company “K” of Coffee County “Shorter Guards”

This regiment merged with the 16th and 45th Alabama Infantry Regiments on December 10, 1864. On April 9, 1865, the regiment became companies “B”, “D” and “F” of the consolidated 17th Alabama Infantry Regiment. This command surrendered at Greensboro, North Carolina, May 1, 1865.

I'd be pleased to assist anyone in search of information about Alabama regiments, battalions and companies, as well as officers who attained the rank of captain or above.
