James got to his command ___?___ and Jacob is well. Tell Duck that she shall have her Kitty when I come home.
Kiss all the children for me and do write to as often as you can for all the satisfaction that I see in this world is getting letters from you and the hopes of a better world when I leave this unfriendly world. I am hear in the Swamp and it is so dark I can't see to write.
Georgia I will answer your letter as soon as I can. I have not forgot you and never will. Bud you and Billy must be good children. So I must close. I still remain your true and loving husband to lifes end.
