minimal resources...all I know about the 3rd Battalion is what the ADAH has posted on their website (same info on Ken Jones website)and what you have provided in earlier posts. My ancestor's name is Daniel N. Wyatt. I found him listed in Broadfoot's Alabama Troops 3rd Bn. Res. Co. C. Perusing the list of soldiers in Company C, I recognized many of them as Autaugians from the many hours I have spent studying the 1850 & 1860 Autauga County Census Records and my family history. He is listed on microfilm at the ADAH "Miscellaneous Confederate Military Records" General Index Card, Wyatt, Daniel N. Co. C, 3 Batt'n Alabama Reserves Confederate, Private. The lady at the Archives told me that these cards referred to the Compiled Military Records in Washington and copies were not available at the State Archives. I am 95% convinced he died in the War from info on the 1866 Autauga Census Record which has his wife, ELizabeth as HOH and is enumerated 2 under "Soldiers" Died of Disease. Everyone is accounted for except him and his son Daniel McDavid who died in Fairgrounds Hospital No. 2 on Dec. 25th 1863(probably Atlanta). Daniel McDavid served with the 38th Inf. Co. H. I am interested to find out if Daniel N. Wyatt died from camp disease before the consiladation with the 4th Bn. possibly while in Mobile or got sick while recovering from wounds recieved in action after joining up with the 4th. Hopefully something will be there that may lend a clue to his burial spot. He is my only Wyatt grandfather going back to my 4th great that I do not know where he is buried. Anything you could add that would help me learn his story would be greatly appreciated.
