Sorry to be so long. After all my rambling, trying to pursuade you that the record would not include much, here's what there. Daniel N. Wyatt is the last of 649 entries filed with the 3rd Reserve Battalion. He enlisted in Moore's Co. "C" in Autauga County on July 25, 1864; the company mustered at Camp Preston near Montgomery five days later. The descriptive roll shows him as 49 years of age, hazel eyes, gray hair, florid complexion, and five feet five inches. He appears on a receipt roll for Sept. 1, 1864, which would have been just after the battalion moved to Pollard AL.

The roll of Sept.-Oct. 1864 says he died in Autauga County on Oct. 10, 1864. Wouldn't you expect him to have been buried at home?
