I have reason to believe that George W. Phillips of Coosa County, Alabama served in the Civil War. He was married to Rebecca P. Hay, the daughter of Henry M. Hay and Nancy Robertson. George and Nancy were married on December 09, 1862 and I have no record of George since but have some indication that he served and died in the Civil War. Would appreciate any leads or information that you can share with me.
