Dear All,
Thanks for your responses. Yes, these Bonners (the five listed from Co. D, 40th Alabama Infantry) were from Choctaw Co., Alabama.

Regarding the roster for 40th Alabama Infantry, someone sent me a link referencing Ann K. Blomquist's compilation of the 1400 men who were in the 40th Alabama Infantry. She has a book of the compiled names which I will order.

Still would like to know the specifics regarding the Bonners of Alabama who ended up in Louisiana units if available.
