I need help identifing which unit this may refer to. This is how the listing was on Widow's Application for Pension.
Capt. Jackson Millsap Co. C, Ala Troops Cal., Davenport Battalion. I have been unable to find any further information on the above. The name of the soldier I am looking for is A. M.(Adam Miller) Rice and his widow was Margaret E. Rice. They lived near Gaylesville,AL at the time he enlisted. Any help greatly appreciated.
