The Authority for his exemption on the Service Record is stated as: Govenor's Correspondence 1863-1865, while the Record itself is titled "Exemption From Military Service 1861-1865".

His Service Record for the Bibb Home Guard First Class Militia states Original Muster Roll - Nov. 1864

A third Service Record stating his service up to Wilison's raid and mentioning the theft of his watch and clothes is from the 1907 census, I guess this was provided by Benjamim
himself.

With these three records present on this man for this type of service....yes, I consider myself extremely lucky!
