I hope someone can help me find some information about an Alabama soldier. A descendant of Mr. Williams is trying to obtain the documentation to join the SCV on his ancestor.

The only information I have is from a family history which states: "Harris Page Williams served in the Civil War and his family was devastated by the consequences of the War."

Harris Page Williams was born in Sumter County about 1828; married in Sumpter Co. in 1854, and died in Springville in 1894.
