Thank you so much for your response. We had record of him dying in Vicksburg. He could have died from complications of the war in Vicksburg, This Horatio Gates Perry was born 1840 . There was another Horatio Gates Perry in Selma, Al, but he would have been in his sixties. Still could have been in the war. But family records shows our H.G. was at Vicksburg. Thanks again, Mary
