Thank you very much for the information. Its possible that one or maybe both the young men were his sons, haven't verified that as of yet, but recall something to that effect via family oral history. The Gulf Rangers-the bottom of Geneva County is 60 to 80 miles from the
Gulf, one wonders about naming it Gulf Rangers. During the period between September and December did the Gulf Rangers serve at Pensacola? I haven't located any further information concerning Captain Laird fortunes during the war, anyone have anything on him?
