I can find nothing in the way of William B.
Burge serving in Co F, 33d Ala inf; the WPA
Cemetery Survey, conducted in 1936 I think,
noted a headstone at Cedar Grove Cemetery,
Holmes County, Fla as Birge, William B.
(Burge) Pvt, Co F, 33d Ala Rgt, 1849-1935;
also there: Birge, William M. (Burge) Pvt,
Co I, 57th Ala Rgt, 1821-1902; I do find
the latter to have a record at Natl Archives
under the name William Burge.
