Alan, I know my gggrandfather was killed during the war. When he left for the war his wife was pregnant with my ggrandmother and he never knew he had another child. Your message is very discouraging, but I intend to keep looking. I just keep thinking somewhere there has to be a record of him. How can I check the "hospital, payment, requisition and prisoner-of-war records?" Thank you for the websites to search. Jan Toland
