Note that the 44th Alabama does not appear on the casualty list for Wright's Brigade at Oak Grove (June 25, 1862). It does appear on the casualty list for Malvern Hill (July 1, 1862) with a line drawn through each of the columns, followed by the note, "joined after action". See below:
