My ggg-grandfather, Thomas Banister, served in the 10th AL INF, and one of his sons, John T. (my gg-grandfather) served in the 3rd Confederate Cav. I have learned that two of Thomas's older sons, Robert M. N. and James L. C., were killed in Confederate service in 1863. Does anyone have information on their units? I assume they entered service from Dekalb Co.
