I have an ancestor, Manon Austin Brasher who according to his headstone was a Confederate veteran. I can find no unit that he served in. Is there any record of militia units where I might search for him? His brothers were in the 10th and 31st Al Inf. so I'm sure he was in an Alabama unit.
