(so would be available from the National Archives) and another was kept at the local courthouse. I don't know if all existing copies of pardons were sent to the Alabama Archives...I doubt it. I know that the Tuscaloosa County pardons have been published. The Pickens County pardons probably burned with the second courthouse fire.
