Wiley was born 1848-1849 in Alabama. His father was William, born 1809-1810 in Georgia. His mother was Nancy, born 1815-1816 in Alabama. He had a brother, Chapman, age 19 in 1860. And he had a sister, Addie, age nine in 1860. William owned a plantation valued at $25,000 in 1860.

William appears to have had two brothers, and their families, living near him. These brothers were Chapman Hester (Sr.) and Barney Hester, both born in Georgia.

The William Hester in Lumsden's Battery appears to be the son of Chapman (Sr.)

I haven't found any information on Thomas, yet. I have a lot of information on John Middleton, but I don't have access to it right now.
