For some time, I've been considering the opening of an "Open Discussion Forum" where visitors to our other "History-Only" message boards could discuss their views and opinions regarding such issues as the display of the Confederate Battle Flag, the "Slavery" versus "States' Rights" argument, the naming of the war (American Civil War, War Between the States, War of the Rebellion, War of Northern Aggression, etc.) and other controversial, contentious and opinion-based matters.
This is an "OPEN DISCUSSION FORUM", so if you're not ready to get your "feathers ruffled", your opinions challenged or your feelings hurt by those who respond to your messages, then I would suggest you DO NOT post on this site.
I will allow a lot of latitude in these discussions; however, I will not allow harsh profanity, abusive or strongly demeaning statements or threatening remarks.
As always, no blatantly commercial or off-topic (non-Civil War related) postings will be allowed. If you are uncertain that your posting violates these rules, then submit your message to me by email and I will approve or reject it.
