OK, so was correct on the general time frame...

Think that mostly likely should be "Chaffins Bluff".... North side of the James located on Chaffins Farm. It was confederate encampment, river fortification, and staging area... Down river from Richmond... Just south of and opposite side of the river from Drewrys Bluff.... protecting River approach to Richmond.
